A Non-Profit, Community Based Organization Dedicated to the Beautification of Our Area

Spruce Up Austin started in 1990 as a committee of the Austin Chamber of Commerce and in 1998 became a 501(c)3 organization. Through 2006 a total of 2,332 trees and spruce have been planted on public property and, along with other landscaping efforts, the total value to the Austin community is $364,326. Governed by and active eighteen member board, Spruce Up Austin s slogan is Deeply Rooted in Austin s Future.

Spruce Up Austin is an action-oriented group located in Austin Minnesota. Members are local citizens and volunteers dedicated to improving the City of Austin with tree planting and educational programs. Some people know us as the local tree huggers.
